When you think of kindness, what picture comes to mind—fireman rescuing a kitten? Child sharing her teddy bear with a nursing home resident? Good Samaritan serving a warm meal to a homeless person? Or simply a hand touching a cheek?
Whatever it is, snap a photo and submit it to the Inspire Kindness photo contest, using the official members-only form.
- resolution: 300 dpi (ppi)
- size: 6” minimum width (landscape orientation preferred)
- file type: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .tiff, .png, or .psd
- legalities: you must be the photographer, year taken
Our Inspire Press art director, Julie Williams, will select the winning photo and use it for the cover of this year’s anthology: Inspire Kindness. She reserves the right to crop and/or frame it as needed for the cover.
The winner will receive two free copies of the anthology—in addition to any received as an author of an article—and, of course, attribution for the photo.
So, remember the words speciously attributed to Confucius, “A picture is worth ten thousand words.” Lay aside your writing project for a moment. Take up your cell phone or other photography device. And capture a moment of kindness that will draw many readers to our anthology.
Deadline for photo submissions is June 15, 2018
