To change your name in the Member Directory:

  1. Login
  2. Go to your Profile page by clicking on the Profile link using the menu at the top of the page
  3. Click on the Edit link.
  4. Enter the correct Name
  5. Click the [SAVE CHANGES] button

. . . have a book that I’ve authored added to the Inspire book store

If you would like to have your book added to the bookstore, please complete the Request to Have Your Book Added to the Bookstore form

. . . join a Critique Group

You can submit a post to be considered for publication on the Inspire blog by emailing [email protected]. If you are interested in authoring a blog post and would like a copy of our submission guidelines and a list of the topics we’re currently interested in, also email [email protected]

You can edit your blog post “About the Author” bio by Editing Your User Profile

To update your profile photo:

Due to technical issues, please email [email protected] with your headshot and we will update your profile photo for you.

  1. Login
  2. Go to your Profile page by clicking on the Profile link using the menu at the top of the page
  3. Click on the Change Profile Photo link.

Note: Please use a head-and-shoulders photo. This photo will appear throughout the site, including in the “About the Author” section below any blog posts you may have authored.

How do I send a message to another member?

There are a few ways to send messages to another member. The simplest is to find the member in the Member Directory and then click on either the [Public Message] or [Private Message] button. Public messages are similar to a Facebook user’s “wall” and will be viewable by all members.

Note: Even “public” messages will only be viewable by logged-in, Inspire Members.

Can I post a general message/status update, like on Facebook?
Yes! To do so:

  • Make sure you are logged in
  • From the Community menu at the top of the page, click on either the;
  • Enter your message in the “What’s new . . . ?” box

Can I “friend” another member, like on Facebook?
Yes! The easiest way to do this is to find the member in the Member Directory and click on the [Add Friend] button.

You can view your Friends and the see the status of your friend requests by clicking on the Friends option in the Community menu at the top of the page.

What dimensions should my profile pic have?

The ideal dimensions are 150 x 150 pixels, but any image you upload that is larger can be cropped.

What dimensions should my cover image have?

The ideal dimensions for your cover image are 1030 x 225 pixels.
