My MFA is in Creative Nonfiction/Fiction; my B.A. is in English Literature. I’m the author of From the Mouth of Ma, Pioneer Mixology, and The Three Faces of Nellie as well as five other books and numerous essays.
Along with speaking nationally, I teach writing via online and in-person events such as the West Coast Christian Writers’ conference, Inspire Workshops, and the Lake Tahoe Christian Writers Retreat.
I’m Inspire’s Board President, liaison to WCCW, and a critique group facilitator.
My coaching and editing style is collaborative. I’m passionate about uncovering the heart of a story/message and helping an author to trim away anything that hinders it. Creative nonfiction is a specialty, though I work across all genres. Except haiku. I’m rubbish at haiku.
