Just Too Busy: Backstory

When Joanne Kraft walked into an Inspire Christian Writers critique meeting a few years ago, she brought with her a two-page article about her family’s radical sabbatical and a lot of spunk.

We all knew she was on to something big. Turned out it was something bigger than an article. It was the beginning of her book, Just Too Busy: Taking Your Family on a Radical Sabbatical.

Inspire writers have enjoyed following the growth of Just Too Busy through the critique phase as Joanne took it from a few thousand words to 187 pages.

We laughed at the antics of the Kraft family as they journeyed through their one-year time-out. We were also challenged to look at our own busyness and adjust any priorities that had become out of order.

We learned how to be more intentional about family time and discovered ways to impact our families’ legacies.

We watched in anticipation as God opened doors to publication for Just Too Busy, providing Beacon Hill Press and Rachelle Gardner to help make this book a reality.

Now we are delighted to see the book selling well. Joanne had a super-successful book launch party and a blog tour with dozens of blogs participating. Radio stations and newspapers are interviewing Joanne and her speaking schudule is filling up. Later this summer she will journey cross-country, visiting with blog readers and signing her book.

The writers of Inspire know Just Too Busy is blessing families all across the US and even in other countries!
